Community Groups

Community Groups are one of the ways we as a church engage hospitality, discipleship, and care with one another. The church is often described as a family, and for us, this is when the family gets together in various spaces across our community .

Community Groups are designed to focus on fostering fellowship within our church. Most groups will eat together, focusing on building community and connection through a shared meal. This will often lead naturally into a time of prayer for members of the group or shared needs and concerns.

Although the primary focus of Community Groups is on fellowship, the Word (like prayer) can help facilitate this. Each group can have a period of opening the Bible, reading it out loud, and allowing people to share insights about how the Lord is speaking to them through His Word. This time might be 5 minutes long for some groups (e.g., with small children), or it could be a longer, more in-depth time for other groups. Discipleship Groups offer opportunities for more in-depth study and prayer.
