Membership at Portico
The Gospel that reconciles us to God also reconciles us to one another. Membership recognizes that our commitment to follow Jesus is also a commitment to a local church family.
At Portico, we practice meaningful membership because we believe that it fosters Christian discipleship and best reflects the relationship we share in the Body of Christ. We are members of Christ’s body, and recognizing the value and worth of every member establishes the importance of loving, serving, and encouraging each other. This kind of relationship occurs within the context of a mutual commitment of following Jesus together, relying on the Spirit to equip and empower the people of God to grow into the fullness of Christ.
Practically, this will mean that while our membership is a diverse group from many cultures, backgrounds, and stages of life, we will share a comprehensive unity in our Lord and Savior that creates a visible witness of God’s love to this world in the body of Christ.

We recognize that the process of deciding to become a member of a local church is weighty and our hope is that this pathway will help you discern whether or not you would like to pursue membership here! Our path to membership at Portico has three components:
