→ MARK CAMPBELL. Lead Pastor

For Mark, who moved often as the son of an Air Force officer, the Northern Virginia area is the closest thing to a hometown. After graduating with a Communications degree from James Madison University, he remained in Harrisonburg, Virginia to serve as Pastor of Youth and Worship at Harrisonburg Baptist Church. In 2005, he and his wife, Jaime, moved to Charlottesville, Virginia to help plant Portico Church Charlottesville, where Mark served in the roles of Worship Pastor and Pastor of Discipleship. Participating in the life and growth of Portico Church Charlottesville, from its beginning with just a few families to a weekly gathering of 700 people, gave him great insight into what it takes to plant and grow a healthy church.
In the fall of 2009, Mark was assessed and recommended as a church planter by the Acts 29 Church Planting Network. He was ordained as a minister of the gospel in December 2009 at Portico Church Charlottesville. Portico Arlington was launched in April 2010 as a gospel-centered, missional church.
Mark and Jaime are the parents of three children: Grace, John and Walker.
→ JONNY REEVE. Director of Operations

Jonny is no stranger to ministry. His father has served for many years as the worship pastor at a local church in Northern Virginia. As a small child, Jonny came to know, love, and trust Christ. He served as a student team leader for Campus Crusade while pursuing a degree in Business Administration at James Madison University. After graduation, Jonny moved to Charlottesville to join Campus Crusade as a staff intern at The University of Virginia. At the conclusion of his year-long internship, he decided to move back home to Northern Virginia and accepted a position as a Background Investigator for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Jonny was one of Portico Arlington’s first supporters and enthusiastically became an integral part of our church. From the very beginning, he began serving as a volunteer in the areas of community groups, worship ministry, tech/AV, and administration. In October 2010, Jonny officially joined the Portico staff. As the Director of Operations, Jonny leads the financial, operational, and administrative ministries of Portico Church Arlington.
→ ANTHONY GREGORIA. Worship Leader

Anthony has been volunteering in the local church most of his life. He learned how to play and lead music as a young teenager at his church home in Charlottesville. While pursuing a degree in Economics at Bridgewater College, Anthony was involved in music and leading worship for several college ministries.
In early 2006, Anthony joined the worship band at Portico Church Charlottesville, where he served for over four years. While at Portico Charlottesville, Anthony completed a church-planting and worship arts internship which focused on leading, growing, and multiplying community groups, as well as training to become a more effective worship leader.
Along with Anthony’s church ministry, he is also pursuing a career as a physical therapist. In January 2010, Anthony began the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Marymount University in Arlington. Anthony joined the Portico Arlington team as Worship Leader in June 2010.
→ JASON CONNER. Director of Spiritual Formation

Jasonʼs path to ministry has been unconventional. In 1998, he and his family moved to Virginia, where he worked as a commercial airline pilot. When Jason was not flying, he had the privilege of serving in the local church in several capacities. He most recently served as the lead deacon for Portico Church in Charlottesville, where he oversaw leadership development, counseling, and mercy ministries.
Jasonʼs passion for the church led him to enroll at Reformed Theological Seminary in 2010 to begin a graduate program in pastoral studies and theology. Through much prayer and counsel from others, it became increasingly apparent that God was calling Jason to shift gears from flying and move toward serving in the church full-time. In the spring of 2012, he joined the pastoral team at Portico Church Arlington to serve as the Director of Spiritual Formation. Jason oversees community groups, marriage preparation, leadership development, and education ministries.
Jason and his wife, Christy, have three children: Justine, Jason and Jordanne.
→ SAMMY BROOKS. Portico Kids Director

Sammy grew up in Warrenton, Virginia. She was active in several Young Life ministries throughout high school and college, including Wyldlife (a ministry for middle school children), Young Life Capernaum (a ministry for children with disabilities) and Young Lives (an organization serving the children of unwed mothers).
After attending the University of Virginia, Sammy moved to Arlington in September 2009. She was part of the original core group of Portico Arlington and served as a volunteer in the children’s ministry.
Sammy gained a strong understanding of the management of teams and organizations through her extensive professional experience in the restaurant, hospitality, and hotel management industries. These skills, along with her love for children, prepared her for her role as Portico Kids Director, which she began in May 2011.
