At Portico Arlington, we always want to keep a proper perspective on our mission. We are part of something much bigger than ourselves. Our desire is to raise up leaders and send out church planters all over the world to begin new local expressions of the body of Christ.

Part of the DNA of Portico is to be a church that plants churches. To that end, our primary partnership in church planting is the Acts 29 Network. Acts 29 provides training, assessment of potential church planters, and a brotherhood of like-minded churches that partner together to advance the gospel.

Portico Arlingtonʼs specific goal is to plant twenty gospel-centered churches in twenty years in the Northern Virginia–DC Metro Area. We do not want to create a place that honors and builds a name for ourselves; we want to create a place that honors God by always keeping on Godʼs mission. Through Godʼs grace, we are praying and laboring to see this goal become a reality.
